On the east side of Hispaniola island in the Caribbean Sea, on the slopes of Sierra Bahoruco (up to 1500 m height), about 250 kg of "Santo Domingo Barahona AA" coffee per hectare (2471 acres) are cultivated.

This coffee, 100 % Arabic quality, washed, of very hight level and special perfection, is for its nature sweet and very creamy. Extraordinarily fine with a pleasant and just perceptible sour taste it is incomparable for its persistence and aroma. Its very low rate of caffeine (0,8 - 0,9%) is peculiar.
